[Review] Kiera Cass - The Elite (The Selection #2)

Ta-ra, so this is the second book of the series I read two days ago. This is the second book of Selection series by Kiera Cass and the next adventure of America. I must say the first book got me dazzled, so was the second book. I couldn't spill any words so yeah, here it is...

Title : The Elite (The Selection #2) Author : Kiera Cass ISBN : 0062059963 Genre : Young Adult, Romance, Dystopia, Fantasy, Fiction, Teen Rating : 5/5 stars

The Selection began with thirty-five girls.

Now with the group narrowed down to the six Elite, the competition to win Prince Maxon's heart is fiercer than ever—and America is still struggling to decide where her heart truly lies. Is it with Maxon, who could make her life a fairy tale? Or with her first love, Aspen? America is desperate for more time. But the rest of the Elite know exactly what they want—and America's chance to choose is about to slip away.

Just before I thought America and Maxon had their happy stories, bad things happened.

First of all, why—in the hell?—Aspen came back—well, actually it happened in first book but in book two he had a lot of scene—and that was just made my day worst. I meant, why would that guy came back and asked America for her love again? That he wanted to came back to America? And why did America let him? I AM SO CONFUSED! Second of all, Marlee—America’s bestfriend in the Selection—did something terribly that made America hated Maxon. Not for long, but long enough to made Maxon found another girl beside America. And that led us to the third problems, or I must say, the worst problem. Maxon—sorry I’m saying this—had becoming a jerk in this book. He found another Selected girl, named Kriss, and spent almost all the time with her. After what happened with Marlee, Maxon seemed having a little bit distance from America. That was suck! One time, he could do nice to America. Hugged her, kissed her, held her hand, walking with her, visiting her in her room, talking and joking with her. But when the morning came up, it was like he was never be the same person—or at least that was what I thought. I know America shouldn’t be jealous or did particular things like that. She knew that she had to understood he situation. She wasn’t the only girl in the Selection now—eventhough the twenty nine girls had been gone for home—and by that, she had to know that Maxon wasn’t only her. At least, not yet. The point is, I do really hate Maxon here. Not just him, I also hate how America acted. How can America couldn’t choose between Maxon and Aspen? That would make things more complicated then before. She had to know that she couldn’t have other relationship with other guy when she still one of the Selection—the Elite, I must correct. In the end of the book, America stayed at the castle and she realized she needed to do something between herself and Maxon if she didn’t want to lose him. And in the end, Kiera Cass gave us a good closing story and I couldn’t help my self except to continue to the third book.
