[Review] Rick Riordan - The Blood of Olympus (Hero of Olympus #5)

Three reviews in a row! I'm speed-boosting to write this hahaha. Enjoy!

Title : The Blood of Olympus

Author : Rick Riordan

ISBN : 1484724917

Genre : Adventure, Fantasy, Young Adult

Rating : 4/5 stars

Nico had warned them. Going through the House of Hades would stir the demigods' worst memories. Their ghosts would become restless. Nico may actually become a ghost if he has to shadow-travel with Reyna and Coach Hedge one more time. But that might be better than the alternative: allowing someone else to die, as Hades foretold.

Jason's ghost is his mother, who abandoned him when he was little. He may not know how he is going to prove himself as a leader, but he does know that he will not break promises like she did. He will complete his line of the prophecy: To storm or fire the world must fall.

Reyna fears the ghosts of her ancestors, who radiate anger. But she can't allow them to distract her from getting the Athena Parthenos to Camp Half-Blood before war breaks out between the Romans and Greeks. Will she have enough strength to succeed, especially with a deadly hunter on her trail?

Leo fears that his plan won't work, that his friends might interfere. But there is no other way. All of them know that one of the Seven has to die in order to defeat Gaea, the Earth Mother.

Piper must learn to give herself over to fear. Only then will she be able to do her part at the end: utter a single word.

Heroes, gods, and monsters all have a role to play in the climactic fulfillment of the prophecy in The Blood of Olympus, the electrifying finale of the best-selling Heroes of Olympus series.

My emotions! They took them away when I closed the book. I don't wanna that to be an end yet, why is Uncle Rick end everything so fast?

Though I really hate it when Percy and Annabeth scenes are so less (not to mention Percy always got kick everytime his name appeared!) but I do love the journeys, the adventures, the fights, the endings! I'm glad everyone has their own endings, specially for Gaea (and please do not show up again in future, we don't know will Percy and his team still lives or not). But, my main focus is PERCY NEED TO GET MORE SCENES HERE!

I mean, what happen with you Uncle Rick? Percy IS the main character! I mean, I know this is Heroes of Olympus series and there are so many characters inside but Percy made you live! He's the main of all main characters (and we know that). We know Percy first of all series, yet you didn't show him too often. Kinda dissapointed with this situation (me speaking as the sister of Percy). I remember when the first time I read this and I have to wait for a week after reading House of Hades (for a whole crazy week! Can't you imagine how curious I am at that situation?) When its finally out, I pre-ordered the book and read it after it came to my house. Woah, I did get the ending but it wasn't like what I thought.

Just like what I've said. Less Percy, less sassy, less Percabeth.

My number two is NICO. I did say he's cute in the fourth book and well, he still cute in here. Specially his scenes with Will. Also, there's this scene when he met Annabeth and Percy and confessed he had a crush on Percy in front of Annabeth? I kinda think Percy's face like a dumbass (hahaha, sorry for this Percy, but you are a seaweed dumbass brain).

The book closed with Leo's POV. His and Calypso's chemistries are getting strong here. Maybe if Uncle Rick gives them a special bonus chapter, They'll be my third OTP after Percabeth (and Hardin-Tessa, of course).

Over all, I couldn't say goodbye to this series. It's hard to say it, I can't moving on, but I need to go back to reality. This series worth to re-read again and again, but of course after reading PJO's series .
